LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville charity founder will be arraigned next month on charges of fraud, money laundering and false return.

Hugh "Stan" Curtis, who founded Blessings in a Backpack, USA Harvest and Kentucky Harvest, will be arraigned on October 18.

Police say Curtis stole $183,000 from USA Harvest. He faces seven felony charges.

Officials say Curtis stole and deposited $164,000 from USA Harvest into his personal account and personally cashed donation checks totaling more than $18,000.

The charges claim that during a three-year period, Curtis failed to report a half million dollars in federal income from USA Harvest.
