LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man who police believe helped his pregnant girlfriend hide from police has been arrested.

Police had been looking for Chris Gentry after he helped Bridgette Sims escape custody in Floyd County.

Police arrested Sims last Saturday for shoplifting. They found her with hydrocodone and discovered she is a heroin user so they took her to the hospital.

That's where she made a run for it and family members tell us -- called her boyfriend -- Chris Gentry.

Gentry's mother told WDRB her son was waiting for Sims to post bond before surrendering.

Police arrested Gentry on a warrant for violating his probation.
