LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police are searching for an escaped inmate.

Authorities say 30-year-old William Monroe from Harlan County walked away from the Marion Adjustment Center around 9 p.m. Sunday.

Monroe is described as 6 feet tall, and he weighs 178 pounds.

Police do not know where Monroe may be headed or the clothes he was wearing when he escaped.

Anyone with information is urged to call Kentucky State Police or local law enforcement.
