Louisville man, two others arrested in $100 million conspiracy scheme

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man and two others are arrested in a $100 million scheme that contributed to the collapse of a New York bank.  Wilbur Huff is charged with conspiracy to commit bank bribery, fraud, and tax evasion.

Prosecutors say his arrest was part of an investigation into a Park Avenue bank collapse.

The government says Huff evaded more than $50 million in taxes owed to the IRS and helped plunder the assets of an insurance company, leading to its business failure.

Huff is accused of diverting millions of dollars to pay for his homes, farm, designer clothing, jewelry, and luxury cars.
