LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say two suspects have been arrested in connection with the theft of more than $900 of cologne from an upscale St. Matthews specialty store.
On Saturday, shortly after 6 p.m., police say 43-year-old Sherry Lynn Munion walked into Stein Mart on Shelbyville Road, near the I-264 interchange.
While inside, she allegedly removed several cologne bottles from the store shelves, walked out of the store and got into a 1998 black Pontiac.
The car was driven by 39-year-old Charles M. Dowe, according to police.
Loss prevention employees at the store allegedly witnessed the incident, and a witness was able to provide license plate information for the Pontiac. Police say they found the vehicle on Shelbyville Road, with both Dowe and Munion inside.
Both denied ever being inside Stein Mart, according to police.
However, the theft was allegedly captured on video and $961 worth of cologne was found in a bag in the back seat of the car.
Both Dowe and Munion were arrested. Munion is charged with theft.
