LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Thorntons is pumping another $1 million into a local park project. The locally based and owned company just made the donation to 21st Century parks to be used for The Parklands of Floyds Fork Project.
That's the nearly 4,000 acre public parks system under development in eastern and southeastern Louisville.
This is Thorntons second donation. In 2010 it gave $1 million to the project that helped fund Thorton Bridge, which stretches across Floyds Fork to connect the Creekside Center to what will be the Humana Grand Allee.
