Families Can Experience the Outback And Only Drive an Hour

Posted: Updated:

Keith Kaiser experienced the Outback without leaving Kentucky.
Kentucky Down Under, the Australian themed animal park in Horse Cave, has their annual Aussie Fest this weekend.
Guests can get hand-on with native musical instruments like the digeridoo.
Do some spear throwing, feed some lorikeets, and get very close to some kangaroos.
A mature red kangaroo can stand more than 7 feet tall.
This year, get your sheep herding team together and see if you can rangle sheep like a border collie.
Returning this year, mutton busting, courageous kids see how long they can ride a sheep.
Saturday and Sunday October 6 & 7 admission is 14 dollars, kids 4 and under are FREE.
