Muhammad Ali Center has image makeover

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The Muhammad Ali Center is hoping to change its image while doing a better job of letting people know its mission.

The center has introduced a new logo and has revamped its website, http://www.alicenter.org/.  It's also come up with a new tagline, "Be Great -- Do Great Things."  That's along with a new focus on education, gender equality, and global citizenship.

The Muhammad Ali Center opened in late 2005.  President and CEO Donald Lassere said in a news release, "By using the Center's co-founder, Muhammad Ali and his six core principles as inspiration, we intend to transform the power of our brand into relevant programs and activities that provide new paradigms for people on their journeys to achieving greatness."

The image makeover was introduced on the same day as the presentation of the first Muhammad Ali Writing Award for Ethics in New York City.
