LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Hardin County couple is behind bars, charged with criminal abuse after three small children are found living in filthy conditions.
It started Wednesday night as Kentucky State Police troopers were called to a home to investigate a complaint of a woman threatening to kill herself.
Jennifer Hart and her husband Christopher came out of the home, without any problems. But once troopers went inside to check on the children, they found the living conditions were extremely hazardous to their health.
The children have been removed from the home and are staying with their grandmother.
