LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The University of Kentucky has lifted its ban on alcohol for non-reserved tailgating spots in time for this weekend's match-up against Mississippi State.
The restrictions were put in place before last weekend's game after an outbreak of fighting in the area near Commonwealth Stadium. One of those fights was caught on camera after UK's loss to Western Kentucky.
UK president Eli Capilouto and the student president released a joint statement saying they've decided to move forward so that the tradition of tailgating can continue.
