After seven unbeatens lost Saturday, Louisville is one of 15 FBS teams without a loss.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Saturday was not a kind day for the
Oakland A's, Johnny Cueto's back or undefeated college football teams.
I'll leave the baseball talk for another day. But seven of
22 unbeaten FBS teams said a reluctant goodbye to that category Saturday. The
first time I wrote this blog post it was actually six but then former UK
defensive coordinator Mike Archer found a way to stuff un-stuffable Florida
State in the second half and the faux heavyweight Seminoles went down, 17-16.
(Raise your hands if you remember when many fans wanted to
run Archer off Rich Brooks' staff.)
Say goodbye to three from the Big 12 (Texas, Texas Tech and
TCU), two from the SEC (Louisiana State and Georgia), one from the ACC (FSU)
and one from the Big Ten (Northwestern).
Here are the Fab 15, by league:
Big East 3 (Louisville, Rutgers, Cincinnati).
SEC 4 (Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi State)
Big Ten 1 (Ohio State)
Pac-12 2 (Oregon, Oregon State)
Big 12 2 (West
Virginia, Kansas State)
Independent 1 (Notre Dame)
MAC 1 (Ohio U.)
WAC 1 (Louisiana Tech)
