LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a pharmacy technician was arrested on Friday afternoon after she was caught stealing prescription drugs from her workplace.
According to an arrest report, 24-year-old Chelsea T. Clark worked at the CVS Pharmacy on Shelbyville Road, near S. English Station Road. Police say that, shortly before 1 p.m., detectives were called to the pharmacy after staff members claimed to have witnessed her stealing drugs.
Police say witnesses saw her remove prescription drugs from a supply bottle and put them in her pocket. When the pharmacist confronted her about the incident, Clark allegedly admitted to taking the pills.
She also gave a written statement to CVS Pharmacy and a verbal statement to police, according to the arrest report.
Clark was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.
