LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An eastern Kentucky county is raising money to honor one member of the famous Hatfield-McCoy feud.
A Pike County official says fundraising efforts brought in more than $5,000 toward a memorial for Randolph McCoy, the patriarch of the McCoy family.
The project started in June and officials hope to have the monument purchased and installed within a year.
The estimated cost of the project is $80,000 to $125,000.
Officials say donations have increased since the Hatfield and McCoy miniseries aired on The History Channel.
