"No Text on Board" decals to be put on Ky. state vehicles

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ky. Gov. Steve Beshear is sending a message that he doesn't want drivers to text while behind the wheel.

Gov. Beshear, Kentucky State Police and AT&T are behind a new push to stop texting and driving.

The governor ordered window decals to be put on 11,000 state vehicles and on 4,000 patrol cars with the message "No Text On Board."

Kentucky passed a law against texting while driving two years ago, but many police departments say it's hard to enforce.

Beshear says he has taken a pledge to never text and drive.
