Murder victim's family seeking public's help

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are still searching for clues in Gerald Jackson's death and his family wants answers.

The 33-year old was gunned down in a Okolona home on Larry Lane around 3:30 Wednesday morning with his girlfriend and four children inside.

Officers say the shooting does not appear domestic, and no one else inside the home was hurt. But they still won't comment on a motive or the circumstances that led up to it.

Jackson's family is asking for the public's help to find the person who shot and killed him.

Jackson cousin, Gwen Maddox, says, "That's the problem we don't know what's going on we want that closure, everybody want that closure and that's what's upsetting everybody because we don't know why."

12-year old Gerald Jackson Jr. is trying to understand the depth of his fathers death. Jackson leaves behind five boys.

His son says, "He was a very nice person, he loved us he took care of us he fed us he did everything for us he's a very nice person and I miss him."

If you have any information you're asked to call the anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD.
