Former workers to hold Kentucky Kingdom rally Saturday

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- "Save Kentucky Kingdom" will be the message during a rally tomorrow.

A group of former workers have banded together to push for the re-opening of the amusement park that Six Flags closed after its 2009 season.

The SaveMyPark rally will be tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. at the Strike and Spare Family Fun Center on Phillips Lane.

The group has a lot of questions for the state and fair board over the plans.

The state wants prospective park operators to describe rides and attractions, a marketing plan and how to pay for renovations.

October 19th is the deadline for potential owners to submit bids.
