LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new class of Louisville officers shoots up in the ranks.
Chief Steve Conrad and Mayor Greg Fischer officially promoted 15 LMPD officers at a ceremony this morning.
Friends, family and a host of fellow officers filled the Mayor's gallery for the event.
The police department now has nine new sergeants, five new lieutenants and a new major.
Some have already taken on their new responsibilities.
Combined the officers bring more than 200 years experience to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
