LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)---Community members are remembering the life of a father who lost three sons in a violent crash.

Marc Hampton recently passed away from health problems, but had become an advocate for relatives of homicide victims.

He is the father of Jamar, Demar and Marc Claybrooks.

The three boys, as well as Aaron Shields, were killed in a crash in 2008 after leaving a Youth Alive event.

They were unknowingly in a stolen car driven by Herbert Lee, who crashed while fleeing police.

On Saturday, Hampton was remembered by friends and family, including his young son.

"He always had a good way to make you laugh or remember. You really will see bigger and better things, because everything Marc wanted done, we're gonna still take care of it and get it done for the community," says AlSharonda Hampton , Marc Hampton's wife.

Saturday's ceremony was held at the Garden of Angels Memorial site that Hampton helped create, which is located at 26th Street and Wilson Avenue.
