INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- A van being chased by police officers crashed into an Indianapolis home, narrowly missing a man inside.
The crash happened about 12:30 a.m. Monday in a neighborhood on the city's south side as officers chased the van believing it might be linked to some car break-ins. The crash left the front end of the lodged inside the corner of the one-story house.
Homeowner Pat Haggard tells WISH-TV and WTHR-TV that he was inches away from where the van hit, sending an entertainment center flying across the room.
No one inside the house was injured. Police arrested a woman who was inside the van, while a man ran away and wasn't immediately found.
