LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Kentucky is about to grow.
The school's Board of Trustees approved plans to build five new residence halls on campus.
The new buildings would be built on four sites, and would go up after several older housing structures are demolished.
A private developer would build and operate those dorms.
Another $25 million dorm is already under construction near the William T. Young Library.
The new buildings will add 2300 beds on campus, which desperately needs student housing.
