Nominees for the Wooden Award are due in the next week.LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The folks from the Los Angeles
Athletic Club are looking for the 50 best college basketball players in the
nation. They're putting together their pre-season list of nominees for the
Wooden Award.
I've been asked to nominate 50 players. Part of the job as
the Kentucky state chairman for the award.
It's your turn to help. I'm asking you to nominate players
that you believe should be on the list.
Freshmen and transfers are not eligible for the pre-season
list. So don't nominate Nerlens Noel, Yogi Ferrell or Luke Hancock.
I'll get you started with the obvious names:
Isaiah Canaan, Murray State
Aaron Craft, Ohio State
Doug McDermott, Creighton
Peyton Siva, Louisville
Cody Zeller, Indiana
Phil Pressey, Missouri
Mike Moser, UNLV
Michael Snaer, Florida State
Trey Burke, Michigan
Jeff Withey, Kansas
That's only 10. I'm looking for another 40.
