Louisville, Ky. (WDRB) -- Homicide detectives are investigating after a woman's body was found in the trunk of a burning car in West Louisville.
Police and firefighters were called to the alley behind a home on Greenwood Avenue just before 1 a.m. Thursday. They found a car on fire, and once the fire was out, they found a corpse.
The rain overnight forced police to move the vehicle to another location to finish the investigation. Preliminary reports show the woman died from several injuries after being assaulted, and not from the fire.
