LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The deadline is 5 p.m. today for potential operators to submit bids to reopen Kentucky Kingdom.
Louisville businessman Ed Hart says he plans to meet that deadline with a proposal. So far he is the only developer to publicly state his intentions to do so.
Hart's previous negotiations with the state to reopen the amusement park broke off last year.
The park has been closed for three seasons and has fallen into disrepair. Hart has said the earliest it could reopen under his leadership would be 2014.
On Saturday a group of former employees staged a "Save My Park" rally in the parking lot of the Executive Strike and Spare bowling on Phillips Lane.
