LOUISVILLE, Ky.  (WDRB) -- A Greater Clark Co., Ind. school board member confirms the principal of Jeffersonville High School, James Sexton, has been placed on paid administrative leave.

Nancy Kraft told WDRB News it happened Wednesday, and she expected it to last two- to three days.

Kraft did not know what prompted the move, other than an investigation is underway.

A statement from Greater Clark Schools Thursday afternoon said "no disciplinary action has been taken" against Sexton, and that he is "not in the office."

Coincidentally, Sexton is running for a seat on the Jefferson County school board in Louisville.

Sexton had not returned a phone call for comment late Thursday afternoon.
