LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville residents will have a chance to remember the Kentucky teen who inspired the nation with his thumbs-up campaign before losing his battle with cancer.

A candlelight vigil is being held for Lane Goodwin at Waterfront Park tonight at 9.

Goodwin died at his McLean County home Wednesday night from a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

A post on the Prayers for Lane Facebook page says visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m.

Visitation Monday runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the funeral beginning at 3:30 p.m.

All services will be held at Calhoun Baptist Church.

The post also says a link for a live stream of the service will be posted to the page.

In Lieu of flowers the Goodwin family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Thumbs Up For Lane Goodwin Childhood Cancer Foundation, Inc. Care of Independence Bank PO Box 39 Livermore, Ky 42352
