SHERMAN MINTON BRIDGE CLOSINGS THIS WEEKEND
Louisville, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Sherman Minton Bridge will close Sat. and Sun. mornings for "super loads" to cross the bridge. These are oversized, heavy cargo loads that require extra space, slow speeds and state trooper escorts -- and require closing the bridge both directions for 30 minutes or more at a time.
Here is the information just released from Ind. State Police:
**Saturday 10-20-2012 8 a.m. - One load crossing with Sherman Minton Bridge shut down.
**Sunday 10-21-2012 8 a.m.- Two loads crossing with Sherman Minton Bridge shut down. 8 a.m.- One load crossing with Sherman Minton Bridge shut down. 9 a.m.- One load crossing with Sherman Minton Bridge shut down.
**Monday 10-22-2012
There will be no loads crossing that will affect the bridge.
***Reminder, bridge could be closed for up to 30 minutes or longer for each load. Both directions of traffic will be closed. In most all cases cancellation of loads will not be published.
