LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Kentucky State Police are searching for a missing teen they say is in danger.
16-year-old Cheyenne Vires escaped from the state's custody Friday night just before 6.
Police say Vires kicked out a window and exited a moving Health and Family Services Protection vehicle on I-64 in Shelby County. She escaped near the 32 mile marker.
The 32 mile marker area is between Shelbyville and Simpsonville as drivers would head west.
Police have been searching the area and say Vires may have gotten into a red truck after she escaped.
They had originally told media that Vires was an escaped inmate.
