LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky teen who inspired the nation with his thumbs-up campaign is being laid to rest Monday. 13-year-old Lane Goodwin died last week from a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer.
His family and friends started a "Thumbs Up for Lane" campaign to show their support for the teen. Famous athletes, coaches, actors, musicians and many more posted photos online in support.
Visitation began Monday morning and will run until 3:30 p.m., with the funeral immediately following in Calhoun, Kentucky.
The funeral service will be streamed live on the Prayers for Lane Goodwin Facebook page.
