It's October. That means pink. That means Breast Cancer Awareness. That means the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk and we need you!
It's not enough to just wear your pink ribbon; we need your presence and your help to raise funds to support the fight against breast cancer. We need you to join us on Sunday, October 28 at Waterfront Park at 1 p.m. to walk with us and help us get one step closer to making breast cancer a thing of the past. Walk with us for the survivors, the fighters, and those who lost their battle.
Gather your family, your friends and your co-workers and form a team. Give it a name and make it your own. My team is Team TT and they walk with me to raise awareness and raise money for the American Cancer Society and the fight against breast cancer. Because it's not enough to just wear a ribbon, it's not enough to put on a pink shirt, we need this community to join together, to be one voice to say, "We want a world with LESS breast cancer and MORE birthdays!" We'll see you at the starting line!
I'm Trish Kite-Hannon, and that's my Point of View.
