LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- An agricultural mission is taking dozens of Kentucky National Guard members to Afghanistan. 39 members of the Guard's Agribusiness Development Team will leave Tuesday.
The mission is to continue the work by other units who've helped local Afghans become agriculturally self-sufficient. WDRB was able to go along one of those deployments.
A ceremony is planned at Kentucky State University in Frankfort Tuesday afternoon. The team is made up of airmen, soldiers, and civilian agricultural specialists.
