Pet Safety for Halloween

Posted: Updated:

Keith Kaiser joined Louisville Metro Animal Services and the Kentucky Humane Society to make sure pet owners keep their pets safe this Halloween.

If you want your pet to wear a costume, make sure it's not restricting and they can see off to the sides.

You don't want a harmless trick or treater sneaking up on your pet.

Have treats at the door like dog biscuits or apple slices for other trick or treating pets.

And remember like human trick or treaters, too much of a good thing is bad.

Putting your pet safely in another room when you have visitors may be the best way to keep your guests and your pet stress free.

Louisville Metro Animal Service and the Kentucky Humane Society are adding an extra treat to the season.

They are waiving the adoption fee for special cats and dogs October 25th through the 28th.
