Break-ins at hotels bordering I-71 in Carroll County

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The Carroll County Sheriff's Office says break-ins have happened at two hotels bordering Interstate 71.

The first one happened at the Holiday In Express on Hospitality Way on October 7th, when someone broke into a 2006 Ford F350 pickup truck, a Ford F150 pickup truck, and a Ford Edge SUV.  Each vehicle was damaged when someone either broke out a window or damaged the door handle to get into them.  A suitcase and $20 in quarters was taken from one truck, and nothing from the other vehicles.

The same night, someone stole over $8,000 in property from a vehicle at the Hampton Inn on Slumber Lane.  That property included a laptop with case, a suitcase full of clothing, cash, a Prada purse, credit cards, Social Security card, and a cell phone.

The credit cards were tracked and surveillance cameras caught images of three men who are suspects in the crime.

Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to contact the Carroll County Sheriff's Office at (502) 732-7010 or leave an anonymous tip via the Sheriff's website, www.carrollcountykysheriff.com.
