The more Charlie Strong wins, the more people link his name to other jobs.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Two story lines emerged from
Louisville's 34-31 overtime victory Cincinnati Friday night.
You know the first: Louisville falls behind, rallies,
ignores the rain and wins. The Cards trailed by 10 points in the third quarter
against the Bearcats.
The second angle was the national story line: The more the
Cards keep winning, the more U of L coach Charlie Strong climbs on the list of
desirable coaching candidates for jobs that will open, especially in the
Southeastern Conference.
That's what Pat Forde wrote on Yahoo.com, outlining why
Strong figures to be a top candidate for the opening at Arkansas. Forde
believes that U of L faces a stiff challenge in keeping Strong from an SEC job.

Gregg Doyel wrote a similar piece for CBSSports.com. Doyel
quotes U of L athletic director Tom Jurich as saying that he'll pay Strong as
much as any coach in the country.
