FRANKFORT, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Bullitt County man is facing charges after police say they found child porn on a computer in his home.
According to a news release from the Kentucky Attorney General's office, Hillview police arrested 25-year-old Allen Bateman on Oct. 27 following an investigation by General Conway's Cybercrimes Unit.
Bateman was arraigned Monday morning on one count of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and one count of distribution of matter portraying the sexual performance by a minor. Both are Class D felonies.
Bateman was being held in the Bullitt County jail following his arrest.
According to the news release, the undercover investigation began in July 2012. A search warrant was executed at Bateman's Shepherdsville, Ky. residence on October 10, at which time investigators seized multiple computers.
Prosecution of this case is being handled by the office of Mike Mann, Commonwealth's Attorney for the 55th Judicial Circuit representing Bullitt County.
