LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Officials at Louisville Metro Corrections say their facility is on lockdown after an inmate assaulted two corrections officers.
Metro Corrections spokesperson Kelly Feiock says the jail was placed on lockdown at 7:45 p.m. Monday.
Feiock says the assault occurred in the disciplinary housing section of the jail and involved an 18-year-old inmate.
The two corrections officials were transported to University Hospital with minor injuries.
The lockdown will remain in effect pending further investigation.
