LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A man accused of killing a woman while running from police is indicted by a grand jury. Joseph Johnson faces charges of drug trafficking and fleeing from police, among others.
Police say his truck ran into Stephanie Melson's car last week, killing her. Investigators say he was driving away from a drug bust at 40th and Broadway.
The chase lasted less than a mile. Melson's relatives say police should not have been pursuing Johnson.
A police investigation is underway into that chase.
