LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville attorney Ted Gordon says he's planning to file a lawsuit if David Jones Junior is elected to the Jefferson County Board of Education.
Jones is running for the 2nd District seat.
Gordon claims Kentucky law is clear, and says Jones is not eligible to serve on the board because of his conflicts of business interests.
Another school board candidate filed a complaint with the Office of Educational Accountability trying to have Jones deemed ineligible because of those alleged business conflicts.
Officials say an investigation wouldn't be launched unless Jones won the race, and even then it would be up to the Attorney General to remove him from office.
