LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Test scores allow the Kentucky Department of Education to compare students across the state. WDRB has been analyzing these numbers for the past few days, so we can make the information useful to you.
JCPS had schools in both the very top and very bottom percentiles in the state.
In high school, DuPont Manual is tops, the Brown School had the top-scoring middle school in the county, and Greathouse Shryock had the county's highest-scoring elementary school. All three scored as well as or better than 99 percent of the state's schools.
Here are the lowest-ranked schools in JCPS:
The Academy at Shawnee is the lowest-ranked high school, Frost is the lowest-ranked middle school, and Jacob is lowest on the elementary level. All three schools were in the bottom one percent in the state.

Oldham County's state rank was 96 on a scale of 1 to 99; that means Oldham schools scored better than 96 percent of the schools in Kentucky. Meade County ranked 91st.
On the lower end for our area, JCPS ranked 23rd, and Trimble County was 19th.
