Two children killed in bus crash remembered; another child leaves hospital

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- As a 3-year-old killed in the Carroll County Head Start bus crash is remembered, another child is out of the hospital.

Caroline Tuttle and Ryder Deitz died Monday when a bus flipped on its side and crashed into a tree.  Visitation for Caroline took place Thursday afternoon in Carrollton.  Her funeral is Friday.

Ryder's visitation is Friday, with his funeral on Saturday.

Two children are still at Kosair Children's Hospital: a 3-year-old boy, in good condition, in the medical-surgical unit, who came there from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and a 4-year-old girl, in stable condition, still in the PICU.

Investigators believe the driver may have gone off the road and over-corrected moments before the crash.
