LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Jefferson Circuit Court judge ruled Friday that a motion to disqualify Kentucky state Senate candidate Chris Thieneman from the race should be stayed.
Judge Charles Cunningham's decision said in the decision that there wasn't enough evidence to rule for or against the motion. But he also said the results of the 37th District race should not be certified until the court ordered that certification.
The Republican is running against Democrat Perry Clark. Louisville resident Robert Walker says Thieneman hasn't lived in the 37th District long enough to be a candidate.
Thieneman has won this issue in court before -- in May, a judge ruled Thieneman is a resident when a similar challenge was brought before the court.
