LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Investigators have recovered the black box from the train that derailed in southwest Jefferson County.
People within one and a half miles of the scene were evacuated when the derailment happened last week. The track is back open, even though the accident is still being cleaned up. Six of the 13 cars involved contain chemicals.
P&L has to submit a plan to remove the hazardous hydrogen fluoride by Friday. Louisville officials are still unsure how much the derailment has cost the city.
