Bowling Green companies accused of posting fake job ads

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Federal Trade Commission says a Bowling Green, Kentucky company used deceptive advertising for fake job help.

It says Career Exams and O'Brien Marketing falsely advertised and sold guides that claimed to tell people who to get a job with the U.S. Postal Service.

A temporary injunction stopped the company from selling the guides for $120 each.

The guides were versions of free information about how to apply for postal service jobs across the country.
