Mahmoud Hindi asks to be released on bond

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The man charged with killing two of his neighbors inside a Louisville church wants out of jail.  Mahmoud Hindi wants a judge to make him eligible for bond release.

Hindi is accused of killing David Merritt and Marvin Fisher at a homeowners association meeting at Springdale Community Church.  He's been in jail since his arrest in September.

Hindi was reportedly involved in a long dispute with the association over a fence and driveway at his home.  Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty in the case.
