LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Louisville Slugger is offering a baseball fan's dream this weekend.
Items such as a Babe Ruth autographed bat from 1924 and Joe DiMaggio's 1951 World Series ring are on display at the Slugger Museum. The items are part of the annual Hunt Auction.
On Friday, fans could see it all for free. Saturday, the items will be sold and some are expected go for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
As David Hunt of Hunt Auctions explains, "To have this in Louisville with that great history of baseball is something we started in 2004 with them as a partnership, and it's sort of grown and now there's an appraisal fair involved where people bring down their things to find out what they're worth."
