Indiana plays the biggest game of the Kevin Wilson Era against Wisconsin today.
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WDRB) – Adam Rittenberg has covered Big
Ten college football for the last five seasons. He has attended games at every
stadium in the league except one – Memorial Stadium at Indiana University.
Guess who is sitting two seats to my right in the IU press
box today for the Indiana-Wisconsin game?
Adam Rittenberg.
Two seasons ago the Hoosiers were beaten 83-20 by Wisconsin.
Last year IU cut the margin to 59-7. Today the point spread is Wisconsin by
seven points.
If Indiana wins, the Hoosiers would move to 3-3 in the
Leaders division, tied with Wisconsin. Although Ohio State and Penn State would
remain ahead of both teams, Ohio State and Penn State are irrelevant this
season, ineligible for post-season play.
So Indiana would face road trips to Penn State and Purdue
with a chance to win the division and play in the Big Ten championship game.
That's why people are saying this is the most meaningful
football game Indiana has played since 2007.
