LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man in his 20s was killed in a shooting Sunday night outside a home on South 16th Street near Plymouth Court.
Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Officer Carey Klain says police were called to the area about 10:30 p.m. to investigate a report of gunshots.
When they arrived, they found a man later identified as 29-year-old Joseph Cothron who had been shot. Cothran was taken to University Hospital where he died at 10:54 of a single gunshot wound.
Homicide detectives are interviewing people who may have information about what happened, but they have not released details about any possible suspects. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the police tip line at 574-LMPD. Callers can remain anonymous.
