LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman was arrested Sunday night after authorities say she endangered the lives of five children.

According to an arrest report, 28-year-old Tamara L. Gentry left five children -- ages 11, 9, 8, 5 and 6 -- alone in her residence on Virginia Avenue, near south 28th Street. Authorities say they were left alone overnight, and during that period, a fire occurred in the home, "placing all five juveniles in extreme danger."

One of the juveniles allegedly told responders that Gentry had left them at the home at 11 p.m. the previous night and had not been back since.

Gentry was arrested and charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
