LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Nelson County say a man who was last seen by family and friends on Oct. 6 drowned.
Nelson County dispatchers received a call from a hunter who said he found a body in a creek on Ben Irvine Road just before 8 a.m. on 11/11/12.
Upon further investigation, two Nelson County deputies were able to identify the body as 33-year-old James Timothy Yocum of Nelson County. He had been reported missing by family members Oct. 29, but hadn't been seen on Oct. 5.
The Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office says Yocum drowned. Officials say he had been diagnosed with a mental illness that may have been a mitigating factor in his death.
