Louisville Marine killed in Afghanistan is honored

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Louisville Marine killed in Afghanistan received a new honor this Veterans Day.  During a ceremony, a plaque was dedicated to Corporal Aaron Faust.

He graduated from DeSales high School in 2007.  The food service specialist out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina was killed in April.

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer said Monday, "Aaron Corporal Faust was and still is a hero for our country, but he also was a classmate and a friend, and a brother, a son. We will never stop missing Aaron."

A granite bench was also dedicated to honor all servicemen who have been killed in action.
