LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A juvenile male has been charged with first degree assault in connection with a shooting that took place in Shively last month.
It happened on Oct. 28, on Matheis Lane, near Farnsley Road.
Police say the victim -- a teenager -- had taken a TARC bus home from a relative's house when he was shot once with a shotgun.
He was able to knock on a nearby door and wave a driver down to call 911, according to police. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
On Monday afternoon, police announced that a juvenile male had been charged with the crime. Police said no further information would be provided, given the secrecy surrounding juvenile cases.
